On Friday 25th February 2011, in Pollica - Cilento, took place a meeting of the four emblematic communities of the Mediterranean Diet – namely Koroni (Greece), Sorìa (Spain), Chefchaouen (Morocco) and Cilento (Italy) – the first one after the inscription of this common element in the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO in November 2010 in Nairobi.
The session of work was focused on the role of the emblematic communities for the Mediterranean Diet and it represented an important event for the meeting of representatives of national, ministerial and local institutions of Italy, Greece, Spain and Morocco to discuss some measures of cooperation in the post-inscription period and to decide the next steps to be undertaken in the common path of promotion and enhancing of the Mediterranean Diet.
