The International Conference "Food values-The Renaissance of the Mediterranean Diet and its significance for a 21st century world" was held on February 14, 2017, at Vatican City. The objective of the Conference was to acknowledge the link between food quality, processing, cultural traditions and health/wellbeing using the Mediterranean diet as the most established example. Prof. Trichopoulou, President of Hellenic Health Foundation (HHF) was invited to give a speech titled "Health, culture and sustainable environment: the Mediterranean Diet paradigm".
