HARVARD T.H. CHAN SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH DIMITRIOS TRICHOPOULOS MEMORIAL FUND 2021-2022

The Dimitrios Trichopoulos Memorial Fund supports students at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health contributing to growing a pipeline of public health leaders that are ready to address the most urgent issues of our time: from tackling climate change to preparing for future pandemics and unveiling the harmful impacts of systemic racism. These students are the next wave of a public health revolution.

The Dimitrios Trichopoulos Memorial Fund, created in honour of one of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Department of Epidemiology’s distinguished leaders, Dimitrios Trichopoulos, provides financial support to students within the Department of Epidemiology who, like Dimitrios, pioneer research dedicated to improving public health and advancing scientific progress. Since its inception, the Memorial Fund has supported numerous students and will continue to honour Dimitrios’ legacy.

2021-2022 Recipient: Beau Schaeffer, SM '22 Master of science, Department of Epidemiology

"Pursuing public health has allowed me to broaden my research interests and pursue projects involving infectious diseases at the population level. Given the attention that this area of research has gained over the past year, I could not be more grateful to have received the rigorous training available here at Harvard Chan School that has prepared me to become an effective researcher and leader in the field".
