The aim of this meeting was to raise awareness regarding the importance of carotenoids as essential versatile compounds, for agriculture, fighting malnutrition and the promotion of health through the diet. Dr. E. Valanou and Ms. K. Niforou MD, participated in this meeting as representatives of the Hellenic Health Foundation.
