The program "The Anthropology of Food in Greece: the Mediterranean Diet" which is organized by College Year in Athens - International Center for Hellenic and Mediterranean Studies, was held for the year 2014 from the 26^th of May to the 21^st of June. In the program participated students from several universities all over the USA.

On May 29^th-30^th and June 2^nd-3^rd, Antonia Trichopoulou, Anna Gavrieli and Eleni Klinaki presented through lectures and activities (team-work, completion of questionnaires and quizzes, video presentations) the traditional Mediterranean Diet pattern, its history and evolution throughout the years, its health benefits, its connection to the Greek mythology, religion and culture, as well as the value of the traditional foods and Mediterranean Diet's sustainable nature in modern society.
